How your donations are used
100% of gifts and donations are used to further the foundation's mission of promoting racial unity through positive action. As a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS we exist as an educational and charitable organization.
Ways in which donations are utilized:
Promotional fees for social media and other marketing fees to raise awareness of the mission and foundation
Other promotional awareness items such as community walk t-shirts, hats, signs etc -- because as a 501(c)(3) we cannot "sale" a t-shirt; all items are provided thanks to donations
Transportation or equipment to use for community hikes and other activities promoting racial unity through positive action
Other educational and/or promotional activities to raise awareness of racial unity because #weareallthesame
Operating costs -- nonprofits don't exist on the internet at no charge -- websites, web designer fees, domains, and images, even email and post office fees etc
Governmental business fees, and legal fees for document review (even filing to become a 501(c)(3) costs several hundred dollars)
Rest assured by law (and our own ethical moral compass) no person, member, director or trustee receives payment for any services provided. We are 100% operated by volunteers.
